After high school, Lee joined the U.S. Navy. He served 3 tours as a hospital corpsman in Vietnam. He retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer after 28 years of service. He graduated from the U. of Nebraska with a bachelors degree in pre-medical studies. In 2011 he sowed his insurance business into a Christian businessman and they moved to Cuenca, Ecuador to serve as missionaries.

They both dedicated their lives to Jesus in August, 1997. They completed their Bible school training in Tulsa, and were ordained in 2005. They founded Knowing Him Ministry, as a 501(c)(3). K.H.M. is a project-driven ministry. They have ministered in Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, Panama, Honduras, Ecuador and the U.S. The KHM headquarters is in Branson, Mo.

Lauren’s ministerial focus is on Christ-centered counseling, teaching, evangelizing, and sharing God’s healing love. She holds a Masters Degree in Christian Counseling, and is currently finishing her doctoral thesis in the same. She has been equipping believers through pastoring, counseling and missions for over 12 years.

They lived in Cuenca, Ecuador for 7 years, and pastored the Palabra de Vida church in Cuenca, Ecuador. Lauren was also the President of the national organization for this group of churches. They serve as the Ecuadorian National Directors for the International Convention of Faith Ministries.

From 2011 through 2016 Lee’s ministry focus was in the Ecuadorian Amazon Jungle.
In his more than 100 missions journeys there, he planted Bible schools, training centers and churches. They also started 7 Bible schools in other Ecuadorian communities.

Their passion is to encourage and train pastors, teachers and leaders, making disciples to equip the Body of Christ throughout South and Central America and the U.S.

Lauren and Lee are currently serving at Lakewood Church in Branson West, Mo. Lauren is a licensed pastoral counselor, and serves in the church as a teacher and missionary. Lee serves in evangelism, ushering and as a missionary.
